The Tea Party is an America political populist movement generally considered as conservatives and libertarian. They have sponsored many protests and had been backing up some political candidates since the year 2009. They took Tea Party as a name in reference to the Boston Tea Party which was a protest done by colonists objecting British tax on tea in 1773. Some regarded the name as an acronym of “Taxed Enough Already” expressing their unrest of the tax American government ask in correlation to the country’s expenses.
The St Paul Tea Party is a protest done in Minnesota in 2010 by around 500 members of the Tea Party Movement. The St Paul Tea Party protest like most of the Party’s other protests was about the reducing of government spending, reduction of the national debt and federal budget deficit. This is done mainly because they do not like what they see in how the American government spends their taxes. They wanted the nation to stop interfering with other nation’s business and focus on their own country’s problems.
